| Female Trouble Maker!! My TM4 Build Dubbed "JADE"
Ok, I have been slacking on starting this build so I apologize Paul. I will get my pictures posted tonight of the build up but here is the start. What I am working with... TM4 Chassis w/full skid PaulEZK Servo/Link mounts F/R TLT Axles JP Customs Steering Knuckles Fat-Rock Axle C's Hitec 645MG servo Aluminum Servo horn Axiom 55 Turn motor 12T Pinion gear 84T Spur Gear Pede Tranny High Clearence Delrin Rear lowers Traxxas Turnbuckles for Front Lowers Traxxas Turnbuckles for F/R Uppers RC4WD Narrow Alum Beadlocks ProLine Moab Tires T/E Maxx Yokes and Drive Shafts Tekin Rebel2 ECS Trinity 2 Channel Radio and Reciever 4" Hot Bodies aluminum threaded shock On the Order List CVD's For the Front RC4WD Strait Axle Adaptors and Strait Axle Shafts G-Made Wideners Replacement Lowers from Finish-Line RC My initial thoughts on the chassis from sight... Crisp looking chassis that is nicely designed and made. I thought that it could used one more hole in the bottom corner of the chassis to flush mount the lower links, but I understand why Paul didn't put them there with the full skid that he made to go with it. I believe that the upper shock mount holes are a little too high and forward on the chassis, but that is still left to be determined after I get it all set up. The chassis is a little larger then my SW3 chassis and a lot more closser in size to the SW2 Chassis. I think this would be a sweet chassis to build a super off, but I don't have a super to tear apart to try it with. I will give more specs as to weight in shocks, wheels, and such after the initial set up. |

All Right, Until I can figure out my website and posting pictures for linking, this is where I sit so far. I am waiting for the Diff Yokes, upper link mounts to put it all together... I thought I had stuff to make them, but I was wrong.. Opps.

What's funny about those link/servo mounts is that I cut my rear BENDER link mounts in the exact same shape. When I saw these I was all like, that looks familiar.

I got the idea of my mount from two things though, one was a picture of a bender link mount chopped up to bits and pieces, and two was the idea of less material = less weight(simple right), so thats what I came up with. | |

| *update*
Well it is about time I got an update on this Chassis. The Budget fell short for now but I have got it put together and Running finally. We are missing the wideners, and a set of Hot Bodies shocks. It will also be recieving a set of CVD's for the front and the rear Axle lockouts from RC4WD as my wife says that her rig will have all the goodies that mine does now. Currently I have a set of BENDER's HC links in the rear and just a set of strait turnbuckles in the front. I also used the stock TLT shocks with 10W oil in them as well as the springs from a plain old US Government clicky pen. The torque twist needs to be delt with and it only has like an inch and a hlaf travel, but hey it's a start. I will first talk about the performance and then pics and a short video will be up. We took the rig out to a new crawling location called "The Fort". It is what looks to be really grippy rock, but it really is like trying to climb sand. It has a lot of v notches and ledges. With the current set-up, it is low-slung and so it sidehills pretty good. Even for the chassis being a little large, it is quite nimble on the rocks and ledges. I expected it to be kind of a pig and get hung up on everything, but it got hung up in the same places my SW3 did. As for the location of the link mounts on the chassis, I would/will drill a few more holes further up the chassi plates for the upper links as they really are a good emount lower then the mount on the axle. This might be because of how low I have the chassis set up though. I also thought that the shock mounting locations would be too steep. I was wrong there as well. I have the shocks laid out just like I do on the SW3 and they work great. My wife drove it most of the day and she was plesently impressed with how it drove for what it was set-up like. I agree with her. So far I am pleased with this chassis. I think that it has the potential to be a contender out there. We will find that out as the CO summer series continues and into the fall/winter series as it will be run in those. (after I finish with the mods ) I think PaulEZK did a good job on the design work and I give the chassis 2 . Alright, on to the pics and video Video "Right Click and Save as" please http://www.cheyennetrailcrew.org/mat...s/TM4Test1.wmv and now the pics. |

The TM4 is looking great. It looks really big when its alone but when you see it put together it looks much smaller. Shane |
