Default 2.2 to Match the Super, kinda

Well here it is, my 2.2 Hustler showed up this week and I got a little time to work on it today. Here's what I have so far.

Thanks, it should be running in a week or so. I have everything for it, I just need to transfer it over.

I've been working, here is what I have so far. I'm pretty much there but I need to make a skid and I have a different servo mount on the way that I want to try to hopefully get the servo lower and the battery on the axle. I also am really wanting to get the new Losi tires for it. I will also probably get some ti links soon.

Just a suggestion, for those of you who are building these and are using axle c's or rc4wd rear lock outs you will probably want to trim about 3-4mm of the thread off of the lower links before you assemble everything. Mine sat at about 13" before I cut them down. Now its exactly 12.5".

Also, I usually run the shocks on my comp rigs upside-down but I noticed that it didn't want to articulate with just the fuel tubing in them. By turning them the right way it articulated perfectly.

I got to drive it for about 5 min today and I was impressed. I love the amount of articulation, in my opinion the perfect amount. The first issue I had was that the servo sticks out too far in front of the axle and the horn hits stuff. Hopefully the new servo mount will fix that, if not I will have to figure something else out because the last thing I want is the servo horn to break off in the middle of a comp.

Onto the pics

Sorry to crush Naz-t's hopes and dreams but those are not Losi shocks, they are traxxis big bore. Thanks for the compliments. I should be able to crawl next Wednesday so maybe you could see it then.

Even better. I hear it every time I go to the hobby shop. "SpEd you really need to get rid of those ****ty shocks and run the best out there. If had a J2-TT I would figure how not to use thse ****ty traxxas shocks" Then after me getting all worked up he proceeds to get a chuckle out of it..Damn him

I loved the clod hustlers and I love these even better
But arent your tires around the wrong way?
I thought the moabs went to the outside to help with side hilling?

I like to run the Mashers on the outside because I don't like aggressive side lugs on the outside because I don't like it when you are pinched right and they push you backwards. Plus the Mashers on the outside help it sidehill better.

Nope, but it kind of came to mind when I was painting it.
At the last comp I saw Dirk379's crawler, at least I think it was his. It looks a lot like a Hustler and he had while panels on it that looked great. Anyway, I didn't want a straight copy so I threw the red lines in it.

looks great zach. Go to Mcmaster carr and get this for the skid. part number 7701T114

As far as the servo sticking out, I wouldn't sweat it too much with that servo and the aluminum horn. If the horn bends just remove it and straighten it out.
