| Questions on TLT shocks...
My next project will be a tuber. I want it to be somewhat scale, like a 1:1 rock buggy. I was thinking of taking my TLT shocks and turning them down. My question is, will it be worth it? Keep in mind I will probably not be doing any comps. Will I be happy with the shocks, or should I just get a set of regular shocks? I am also currently planning on running a droop set-up with springs inside. Comments please.

| Machining or filing the aluminum body down so that the step is gone. It makes it look like a 1:1 2" shock. Like this. Quote:
If you are using leafs (don't need great shocks with leafs) or want the coilovers to look totally scale at all costs, then I'd say use the turned down TLT's. | |

Leaking is what I would be worried about. I still might give it a try just to see, I won't be losing any money so I might as well. If not then I'll go with bigger shocks. It's gonna be a 4-link suspension, if it was a leafer I would probably use the TLT shocks for sure.

I've found that if you use green slime from Team Associated they have a better chance of not leaking, might give it a shot.
