It's a shermota half Sherman tank half Toyota, I' like Yota's and have never reallt liked Exo's either but I do admire this one. There's over 200 ft. of tubing in that thing. Well at least that how much was bought for it and the cut offs add up to almost 8ft. Pretty crazy. Im' not gonna do a full exo. I hadn't thought about it. But I could. It'd be the first RC with an EXO. Mmmmm...... The guy who built is named Bernie and he's part owner of Blue Devil Products in Campbell, Ca. Good guy, great fabricator. |

Well I started working on a front bumper a few weeks ago but never got around to finishing it. So today I worked on it some more. Hopefully tomorrow I'll finish it. I'll try and get some pics up tomorrow night.

It's not solder. I mig welded it then smoothed out the welds. I used a Miller 175 mig welder with 25/75 Argon/CO2 shielding gas.

Since we hijacked the shit out of this thread I split it and put the rest of it here: http://www.rccrawler.com/postt2777.html Sorry rckjeep. I still say don't paint it. Or if you do flat black might be cool. |

I would still like to know why the DOM? My question is in the other thread that was moved, but just curious as to why. Seems like it would weigh more than it really needs to.

DOM? Because I found it online and wanted to try and work with it. I'm not too concerned with weight. It also welds a lot better than brakeline tubing. Since it's not galvanized it doesn't booger up as much. I like that.
