Also if you want Beefy rod ends can't beat LOSI LST ones 4mm, you just have to drill out the balls
actually that thing broke clean down the middle, in half!

i wont lie i just cant drive!!! lol its new to me. first r/c period. and it has been 2 wheel drive so all that power to one axle. and the tires are real "grippy" driving on asphalt- no good!

how do i make custom links? i have been searching forums like mad. i was going to post today and hopefully find out how. i have 9 pieces of 5/32" @ 36" lengths brass tubing i planned on using for custom tube frames that maybe i could use with some all thread down the middle but i dont like that idea too much. or i was going to go down to local metal supplier and get something similar in steel, and maybe buy a tool to thread them. i dont know much about that but i was going to look into it. i wanted to check for another way first. i'll post what i find and i am open to suggestions, your comments are always appreciated.

so custom links, a custom tube frame/chassis, and a custom steering setup yet to come.

well for the price i will see how the savage shocks fit [before buying integy msr4 savage shocks(] on a 1/8 gravedigger from parma and jumbo kongs! 8 1/2" Tires x 4 1/2" wide! heres a couple pics from http://www.ricrush.com/kongclod.html - you will see it next to a 1/10 gravedigger on a normal clod.

edit- actually after looking at it again i think those are integy shocks for savage. Ha! might work after all

as of right now

-i still dont have jumbo kongs, but hoping to get some soon.
-i need to start my custom tube digger chassis

but until then i am going to mount everything on my stock chassis and try it out because i have had this truck for roughly 2 months and still havent driven with 4wd or 4ws!! lol

so now it will have:

-traxxas twin 550's
-traxxas EVX2 esc
-traxxas revo shafts
-traxxas E-maxx 2speed tranny
-savage shocks
-wheel adapters/wideners to 17mm
-rims/tires on first picture of this thread(if anyone knows what kind please inform me)
-axle guards removed
-new era skid plate

working on right now:

-2.4ghz custom Tx modded(will be doing something special with this one)
-2 TowerPro MG995 custom chassis mounted servos(oh yeah! no servos on my axles!)
-extended 4 links with new axle mounts
-mounts for e-maxx tranny
-mounting shift servo
-custom sway bar like the one from new era(maybe)
-extending wheelbase************

In the future

-custom tube gravedigger chassis
-4 more savage shocks (maybe 8 integy silver msr4)

-Jumbo Kongs

I'm not asking you to JB-weld the shaft back together. The little area that's concave on those gears "like the one that broke off on your axle" should be filled with jb-weld they tend to develop hairline cracks. I suspect you broke that on a full throttle landing after a jump. Those big tires helped it out too, lots of weight rotating and if it stops quick <snap>

On my TXT, I run Maxx shafts....they can be cut and glued to any length you need and are plenty strong! I run a Stampede tranny, so you'll need to make sure that they will fit the output of your trans.

IIRC, these are the yokes that I used at both the tranny output and axle...

well whats the difference between maxx shafts and revos? i have 4 revos btw. and i have an e-maxx tranny. so direct fit for revos. if i have to cut them, which i really dont want to do, how do i go about doing so. if you have done it post some pics.

and i am still open for other suggestions, anyone ever extend their drivetrain?? there has to be more than one way.

Use two female full length pieces, cut a male piece right at the yoke end, and glue the male piece halfway down into one of the females.

The revo shafts are a bit larger in diameter. If they will work, then use them!

Shelby got it right....you'll end up with a female shaft at both the tranny and axle. BTW, I like to use a PVC cutter when making a custom driveshaft...it will give you a nice clean cut.
