Hello all Finally had it with the stock weenie linkage that comes with the TXT. Replaced them with .250 aluminum. Dead headed 6/32 x3/4 set screws in the links then attached the rod ends. This gave .375 screw in the link and the same in the rod end, plenty beefy. Also added a ball stud to one of the rear upper blocks for the rear steer lockout. While it was all apart also added a drilled/tapped hole for another ball stud on each upper block. This was suggested by Grizzly to allow placement of lower links above the axle to gain clearence. Have seen this done on quite a few TXT's lately as well as the scratch built crawlers. May experiment with that later. Figured out skids might be a nice addition too since my pretty steering linkages got munched while running the proving grounds :( My neighbor is moving and he had all sorts of nice size rocks over there. Asked if I could have a few and ended up draqging a pretty good pile over to my backyard. Just sort of threw them to the ground, will rearrange later for a crawling course to try out new parts on. Pics attached for your viewing pleasure. ![]() ![]() ![]() |
