Default Landcruiser-ish TXT Tuber

Here is my TXT Tuber I have been working on - For WAY too long.
I decided to try and make it look sorta like a FJ40 tuber, but not until after I started.
The hood dosent exactly look like a cruiser, but I think all the lines mimic it alright its just narrow and long.
anyways
Im really happy with it so far - I have more pics and specs if anyone is interested.

Thanks

Thanks for the reply.
I bought the beadlocks off of someone on the board, and he threw the tires in for free - so I cant complain :-P
They really arent that bad for what im doing anyways.
Im thinkin id like to get some swamp dawgs, but these will do for now.

Now that looks sweet. One of the best looking TXT tubers I have seen. Where did you get those seats?

those seats are actually recaro cell phone holders... you can get them on ebay, or at your local performance shop.

I've wanted to give those tires a shot myself.

Your rig looks great though, I'd like to see more pics of it

Ok
Everything on this thing is pretty standard
I just recently got into RCCrawling, and RC itself, and this site has taught me pretty much everything I know about it.

This is my first attempt at any RC vehicle but I have been into 1:1 4x4s for years.

It has TXT axles JB welded. Stock tranny cut and layed down.
GD600, 45T Lathe, 12 tooth pinion.
Revo Shafts
Homemade aluminum links, and steering links.
MG995 Servos front and rear
duratrax aluminum shocks
Moped
TQ3 and receiver modded for rear steer
Maximizer beadlocks, cut Imex rocks - both bought from for sale forum here
I made all of the frame, hood and panels

Here are a couple more pics of the rig

Here are a couple showing the battery, receiver, and speed control mounts under the hood

And a couple pics from before it was done

If anyone has any questions feel free to ask
I have learned alot from the board and if I can help any I would be glad to

Thanks for all of the positive comments so far

What wheels are you using? And do you have any pics of the servo mount? And last question, what size tubing did you use?

He just posted he's using Maxximizer beadlocks.

Really nice truck, looks like it's pretty much got all the tricks!

I like where you put the on/off switch.

The wheels are indeed Maxximizers - with the aluminum clod wheel adapters - I had to switch to clod stub shafts.

The wheelbase is right around 16"

I havent run it without the gd600 since I did the tube frame. The Lathe works pretty good, but I may end up going back to the stock can because it gives a little more wheel speed. The lathe is strong though, and I get a pretty long run time with this setup so im not sure.

The main tubes of the frame are 1/4", and the smaller tubes are 3/16"

I will take some pics of the servo mounts and post them up - I dont have any right now.

I thought the on/off switch worked well there - it kind of blends in, but is mounted solid and is easy to get to.

Thanks

I used a brakeline/fuelline tubing bender to bend up the frame.
