Hey guys, just got back from my camping trip and thought I would post some pics. After doing the BTA steering mod I realized that I definatly need to cut the chassis to gain some more ground clearance. Seems like I was always dragging my skid on everything. Also a little lower CG and longer WB would help a lot. Overall I was fun and I found some cool spots to run. No posing in these pics.

At one point someone tried to car-jack my ride. I caught him red handed trying to steal my rims too!

Cool Lil Red Reborn (WIP)

Finally, some pictures of my new/old rig. Not pretty yet to say the least -

no finished paint, decals, the wiring is a rat's nest and the rollcage needs

paint badly. But boy does it ever crawl! I wanted to get some nice action
shots at Purgatory Chasm but forgot my camera so you'll have to tolerate some backyard pics for now.
Notice the snazzy high-tech plastic zip ties I'm currently using to limit
articulation. I'll obviously have to come up with something better but for
now it keeps wheels from dropping off into something that might get things
broke trying to get out of - know what I mean? The sub-C battery pack is divided in half and mounted down low on each side for a nice center of gravity. I have 3 of these packs and they give well over an hour's run time - EACH and charge up fast. Cool beans.

Here's the basic specs:

* TXT-1 carbon fiber chassis with 1/4-in dia. welded tube roll-cage
* 17.5-inch wheelbase, 14.5 inch track, 11" high w/body, 8-1/2" without
* Aluminum 4-link suspension with T-Maxx shocks
* GD-600 gear reduction unit with stock transmission
* Locked TXT-1 axles with modified Traxxas Revo driveshafts
* Ace aluminum TXT to Maxx wheel adapters/extensions
* Integy 55-turn motor
* Novak SuperRooster ESC
* Hobbico 1/4-scale CS-80 servo
* Proline Moab tires on Proline Velocity wheels
* Optional empty Bud Light can

I will get those nice action shots out at the chasm and maybe even a short video as a consolation prize for having to look at these mundane photos.

Till next time! - Tom
