Will do..pics are going to be a must..have lots of ideas like a canvas topper, light rack..brushguard...and of course a canoe (scratch built) might as well, right!!

All right....LONG over due in the pics, been having fun running the darn thing and the other rigs...couple of pics on the body...

all bondo'd up

nother

running board cut, and bondo sanded.

running board removed.

and ran on the belt sander to smooth out the body....

close up shot.

pose number one with a rack that was on another body and its lights.

nother, little higher so you can see the lights better. The white box isn't going to be there....

things I'm going to do are tinted light covers and lights, fog lights in the bumpers, and the canopy will be the rack on top with cloth under it and sides that roll up so you can see the gear in the bed, the bed will be wood finished and a aluminum roll bar will hold up the lights, still have to find/make mirrors and finish sanding the mutha...ohh and make new links for it, have to make the wheel base 1/2" longer..

anyway, let me know what you think...

and you guys were right....looks WAY better with out the running boards...

cheers.

What a cool body Squatch. I've been thinking about getting a CC-01 and found this build. I don't know when I'll get mine started, but I'll have to bring it over to Great Falls when it's done and run with you guys.

Looks great and does look better without the runningboards. A belt sander, on the body?

John you should go all out on the scale look since its a hardbody and get some tiny ZR-2 stickers for the box side like the real truck. When you mentioned an S-10 I was thinking of the older ones. I've never even seen a body hardbody like that before, good find.

Damn dude, I totally forgot that you had a build thread going on here. It's coming along real nice like. The bodywork's looking good. Glad to see your bondo situation worked out for ya. Good call on losing the running boards too, it looks way better without them.

Is the body just sitting on the chassis, or have you got around to mounting it yet? Figuring out how to mount the body is usually my "favorite" part of a build...NOT. :-P Just curious to see what you've come up with, if anything.

Nothing yet on the body mounting. I figure I'll do some type of hinge velcro thing...I want no body posts on this one. BIG78 picked up a sweet deal and he is letting me pay for the 60T motor that came with it...so that "bigblock" will be going in some time in the near future....

Like the idea of the stickers...didn't think the S10 came in a ZR package..

not sure about the paint, but will be flat black on the fender wells and will try chrome around the grill...but if that falls..then black it is...

anyone with photo shop wanna put some ideas down...go ahead...I'm open.

Thanks blazer, looks good doesn't it...my wife would like to thank you....this takes up alot of my time lately....

would update, but nothing to update...so far I'm still working on the passanger front fender..trying to get it back to the way it was...when I do I'll post pics.

did learn a cool trick, a heat gun and styrine...it gets real soft and you can mold it anyway you want....

The body was taken off of an old Radioshack "Aftershock" truck.
