Stock is 16 and is still faster than you'd think. For the other stuff, I have no idea what you're talking about.

ok, update..got a 16t in it and full bearings...is there a way to make this thing NOT noisy...the gears are very loud..packed them with grease and still a very bad whine to them. Still looking for a body...hopfully a Yota FJ cruizer..one of the newer ones.

any help on the gear noize would be appreciated.....thanks

Just a quick question. The 48 pitch pinion you got, is it metric? There is a difference in a standard 48 pitch pinion and a metric 48 pitch pinion. The gear noise you are describing sounds like you might have the wrong pinion. Metric 48 pitch is just a tad bigger, and the gears don't mesh properly, if it is that, you need to find the right metric pinion or your gonna destroy you spur gear.

I just discovered this too. I got the usual 48 pitch and its WAY different. not visually different but different enough that it screwed up my spur.
need metric.

I'd definately look into that. Most Tamiyas like these have metric gears. If it boils down to the wrong gear, Tower Hobbies does have them, I;m not sure about the vendors here. Maybe RC4wd?

Alright, with some help with a couple of local memebers, Got the pinions..and also received a SAWEET S10 body from Blazerbogger...thanks man!!!

working on the S10 body, will post pics when I get all the paint off her...

QUESTION TIME!!!!! Took the CC01 for a ride around our rock course and a big clicking sound kept coming from the front...little further looky looky and the passenger (US Model) front dog bone is coming out then CLICKING back in...so...either my dog bones are two short..have to much angle on the A arm...or turning tooooo sharp...2nd and 3rd..I don't think so...1st, not sure..thinking I could cut a couple of springs from a pen and put them in there (on the inside)...anyone else came across this same situation??? I stopped before I F'd anything up to bad...more than I all ready did...not to the cup thank gawd...

anyway, let me know what you guys know about the dog bones...

thanks in advance.

Do you have a small rubber o-ring stuffed inside the dogbone cup at the differential? I think without the o-ring the dogbone will have too much play and cause just as you mentioned.

Many of us run a ~3mm lift plus preloaded shocks and don't have those issues. Check to make sure you stuck that o-ring in there.

You can cut a piece of nitro fuel tubing and stuff it in the outdrive cup in the diff this will push your dogbone further into the axle on the wheel side also.

Figured I would update since I am in a build...so to speak..

Got the S10 from Blazerbogger like I said. had to do some work on it, looked like this....

Pretty good I think...had to glue it back together (second pic) it broke in shipping..then started sanding, not done with it, will fix the seam once I'm done sanding...just taking a break to do the wifes Yota...S-10 sanded (a bit) and resting on the CC01.

nother side view...you can see the wifes yota in the back ground on the right.

Still have to adjust the wheelbase by 1/2" and put different upper links on it, so it has more flex.

had to show the whole stable....the S10 looks pretty good next to the others....

Thanks for all your guys help to this point...reading and printing the other threads to learn from....
