Thanks everyone. I love this truck...it's a keeper. Thanks Brett! It did get a little muddy at the Spring Park comp last weekend. The courses were awesome...I was bummed that you couldn't make it. |

Oops, I just realized that one of my updates from early August didn't make it here. I like the extra wheel speed on 3s lipo, so I decided I want to run it all the time. I added a little velcro and will someday adjust the voltage going to the LEDs so that I can turn them on again. |

You must not have read this thread then. Being a n00b has nothing to do with not being able to read.....:? BTW, the answer you are looking for was on page 2, the page before this page. Quote:

Do you have any problems with the front tires rubbing?

Well i took my FJ out for its maiden voyage, learned a few things. 1. Pro-Line Chisel tires are not good trail tires. 2. The brick wall must go, actually it already has as of last night, however I now have to remount the body and maybe make new links. Everything i did was given room for to wall. 3. I need to put limiters in the shocks, or mabe find shorter ones, i had to much lift in the front making it a little top heavy. 4. Cant wait for my GPM steering kit to arrive!! I hope you dont mind Schlabinski, but I am making almost a copy of your FJ, short of the 1.55s, but after last night performance that may change sooner or later. |

Super nice work!! I'm new to the whole scene but like the others said, your work on that FJ is inspirational! I'm running a stock Land Cruiser kit. If you don't mind, where'd you get that body? |

After a couple of years of competing and a couple years of rest, I decided the FJ Cruiser deserved a complete teardown... IMG_3846 by jeffraystevens, on Flickr Retired from competition, I de-waterproofed it (I'm not big on running my trucks under water) and tidied up the electronics... DSC00676.JPG by jeffraystevens, on Flickr Added a little more steering power... DSC00678.JPG by jeffraystevens, on Flickr With the help of Axial parts, made a more elegant 3 link... DSC00670.JPG by jeffraystevens, on Flickr DSC00675.JPG by jeffraystevens, on Flickr Replaced the silver lock nuts with black... DSC00680.JPG by jeffraystevens, on Flickr And replaced the unsightly blue plastic knuckles with some GPM aluminum bits... DSC00685.JPG by jeffraystevens, on Flickr Thanks for looking. |

Very nice rig! Noticed you were in Portland. If you ever make it over to Central Oregon give me a shout. Almost got my Pajero done, and want to have a CC01 trail run. Got a few other guys locally looking at picking them up.
