Looks good with the 1.55s. How is the clearance on them in the back side? Are you gonna reinstall the roof rack? EDIT>>>I have my Unimog on the way should be here Friday Last edited by mississippirocs; 06-22-2010 at 04:12 PM. |

Clearance in the back is a problem. Will have to trim up the fenders some more and then repaint. When the tires stuff up in the wheel wells they get jammed up and cause hesitation in the drivetrain. The fronts were giving me trouble too do to the sag in the suspension and the crazy steering angles I'm getting but I stiffened up the shocks (which are now also Losi Aluminum MRC types to match rear) and trimmed a lot of the inner wheel wells off and fixed it for the most part. Been doing some testing on the backyard course and I'm liking it so far. It crawls pretty damn good! Now we just gotta get your Mog comp ready. Oh to answer ya I don't think I'll be putting the rack back on...don't want the added weight up top. I'm going to build a spare tire mount off the back that holds a jerry can and the hilift and shovel. Last edited by BGGruff; 06-23-2010 at 04:11 PM.

Great thread, lots of inspiration for my forthcoming Paj build - it's currently winging it's way across the pond...

I paid 18.00 for 1 troy ounce with the flux. I think I'm going to put up a thread in the Tools section maybe people don't know about Airgas.

Here's what I've done recently. I installed a fan I got from Radio Shack on top of my box that houses the esc and winch controller to keep them cool. It's hooked to a rechargeable 9V battery. Here are the 2mm nylon lock nuts I used on my RC4WD wheels (Idea borrowed from constantmotion.) Here's the passenger side slider made of 3/16 brakeline. Here's the driver side slider. I made it out of brass tube and solder I had before I got my hands on some good silver solder and brakeline. Seems to be holding up. |

I know he needs one so all of us can run all 3 classes in Sept. Get some pics up so we can see it! I had some Tomahawks but never ran them on the Jero but they're roughly the same size as the Stompers I have now so it is a tight fit. I actually still have some rubbing on mine and was thinking about taking a dremel to it. I was running the 20T pinion and it didn't have enough to turn the tires when they were bound up rubbing in the wells. I put the 16T pinion in and no more problems just some rubbing.

Ya'll some beaches talked me into it. Got one on the way. Going for a XC Brat on 1.55 Stompers. Already got my GPM parts on the way. They left Hong Kong, China, Japan, Taiwan, Vietnam, Korea, or wherever yesterday.
