Default My daughters new Bronco.

Picked this from a member on here. It was pretty much dead stock. I did all the usual mods.

-GPM steering
-bearings
-removed the brick
-lifted the bumper to match body lines
-rc4wd shocks in the rear
-60t venom motor w/ 16t pinion

the rest is stock

future mods:

servo winch
maybe portals?
front lift

Thanks for looking

Very nice Bronco. I just bought a used one on Ebay this week. Should be here tomorrow. Should be a good match to my CC01 Jeep. Love these little trucks!

I'm still loving this little truck. With a few small mods it is a real go getter.
I've been running it hard on my home course and it crawls pretty well for
What it is. I do need a winch though. I'm working on my LED's this weekend.

Does anyone have photos or instructions on how they mounted a servo
winch in their's? I've got a 645mg lying aroung.

This weekend me and the brother in law are going to put some hard miles on it.
I'll post some pics.

Heres how I did my winch:

After modifying the servo to be a winch I placed it in the area opposite to the steering servo which was originally for the esc servo. I then ran the winch line through some rod ends to the front where I have my bull bar and a fairlead. Here are some pics.

I hope this helps.

Thanks for the photos! That looks awesome. I'm going to have to pick up a new servo. I stripped my servo today on the trail, and had to replace it with my 645mg I was going to use for the winch.

I'm try to put up photos as soon as I get it done.

Yep same way I mounted my winch, I installed an old winch fairlead on the chassis tub and not the bumper on mine (my bumper is part of the body)

Yeah my daughter beats it around the house and backyard daily. This weekend she let me take it out. I really like driving this little thing. It make trail running a bit more interesting. I always had an axial based rig. With this thing the Line you pick makes a HUGE difference.

This weekend I started popping Drive shafts like crazy. I have orings in the ball cups. My guess is it is because I dremmeled the arms out for travel. Looks like I'll be picking up som CVD's.

The Mud Thrashers on this thing just flat out HOOK UP! Even in loose side hill scree they dig in. On Rock they grip. New favorite small 1.9 tire.

The stock ESC leaves some thing to be desired. All my other crawlers have drag brakes. This weekend was interesting running ALOT of hills with out dragbrake. And whats up with the half speed reverse? Is that just me?

Well I fixed the "popping" dogbones with some shims. Still going to order some CVD's. They are pretty cheap. I took the truck out today for lunch at the same trail, and oops I rolled it down a 40-50 foot cliff, hit about tree very immovable trees along the way. Then drove it right back up. This is one tuff truck. It does have some good scratches in the body now. That "sh*t" will buff out though. when my daughter see's it she's going to be mad though.

As far as ESC's go, I leave it in until it burns up or my daughter get really good. By then she'll be wanting a Wraith or some other truck. lol. I pretty sure this little bronco is going to be staying at our stable indefinetly.

I have been using the Losi Night Crawler ESC and find it to be really good.

Hi, new to the forum and crawling/scaling. Just picked up a SCX10 Honcho RTR with the new 2.4 and AE-2. I find the new Axial AE-2's to be pretty good and if you have a Castle program card you could probably adjust the ESC more. I just picked up an extra ESC from RPP's Salvage Yard section. GREAT DEALS and FAST SHIPPING.

As for the half-speed reverse, I also have 2 CC01's and they both do that half-speed reverse thing. One of my trucks has the stock Tamiya
TEU-104 and the other has a Traxxas XL-5 and both do it.

thanks for the input offacup. I figure the half speed reverse is built into the stock esc.

Did you say you found a new AE-2 on RPP salvage yard? If so great deal!

Question time CC01 Pros:

I have decided to do the front lift. Washers under the skid plate. I know use axial ones. But WHAT thickness? 3mm, 4mm, ?mm I searched and everyone says they did the mod, but not how thick they used?

I just used the 2mm ones I got with the GPM kits I bought. It all comes down to how high you want it vs practicality of it working at that height.

Cheers Jarrod
