Default LR3 Rastar CC-01 Tire Help

Well just snagged a good deal on a roller of eBay. On my first CC-01 I ran 1.9 Dirtgrabbers on 90mm HL shocks so clearance was no issue.

Now with the Rastar LR3 I want to keep it scale with trail capabilities.

What tires would yall recommend? I know a lot of people have been going with the Prowlers on HPI touring car wheels...anything else? If I went that route what offset would be needed on those wheels?

Or should I go 1.55''s from rc4wd with their steelies and Mudthrashers?

I'm definitely going to throw on CVD's not sure what brand is reliable. I've been looking at RcDamper....just don't want to wait for oversea shipping.

Also probably going to upgrade to the aluminum knuckles as well...

Thanks,
Alex

As far as I know RcDamper doesnt make the CVDs, they are made by GPM. Either way its a great upgrade and the over seas shipping from RcDamper is quick. I have dealt with them before.

Is the Rastar LR3 the one with opening hood and doors?

Pantablo is the Land Rover guy, you should get his opinion on tires and wheels!

I have the NB LR3 and have prowlers with 1.9 RC4WD steelies. The tires are 98mm tall if I remember right.

I also have a picture with different size 1.9 tires to for reference here.

Lr3 cc-01

I also bought the CVD's and they are the on GPM models from RcDamper. Super fast shipping too.

I think I would do 1.9 black steel wheels and some 1.9 dirt grabbers you would have no clearance issues and they would look scale

I ran 1.9 steelies on my CC-01 Tundra and it rubs even with the 90mm high lift shocks I threw on there...that's why I'm looking for touring car wheels w/tires (not sure what size (I'm assuming a 1.9")

Or go with the 1.55" steelies with some 1.55" Mickey Thompson Baja MTZ's....

Touring rims are 1.9 in size and you can get different offsets too.

The raster body is very close to 1:10 scale or a little bigger. 1.55 wheels may look too small on it. Also, most if not all 1.55 tires are same outer diameter as 1.9 tires so no clearance gain to body with 1.55 tires to be had. Check the outside diameter of any tires you consider.
