| Bronco for a new series...
This is my first cc01 (nothin like my scx10's), bought it for a Dakar series we are doing. Cover lots of ground agianst the clock with a few obstacles. I bought the kit, no pics you have all seen the builds. I did a full bearing upgrade using traxxas #5116 bearings (These did most of the kit) and traxxas #5117 bearings(only need 2, these are for front wheels) so no plastic bearings. I painted the body camel yellow and black with some stickers. Used rc4wd texas star truescale aluminum wheels and rc4wd rock creepers. I still need to do electronics and lights. Also cut the front chassis back. Here is what I have so far, I am really into body and paint but this will not be a shelf queen. Lots to do yet... So it began... http:// http:// Now... http:// http:// Yes I know wipers go to top but I cut the wipe marks before I realized it so it was to late, it is what it is... http:// Last edited by Rivas Concepts; 01-17-2012 at 11:04 PM. |

Thanks for the bearing numbers from Traxxas. Much cheaper than the tamiya hopup options.

So I spent the morning working on my Dakar rig, motivated by seeing Alex and what he is using for this series. Just doing the simple stuff. Stock lights are set in place, more to come in way of lights. Cut away front bulk head on chassis, the part I refer to as the shovel because I watched it plow into everything in greggs cc01. Installed Tekin FXR, Savox 1256TG servo 277 oz of torque, and just used a spektrum receiver. Using my DX3.0 for this. Painted mirrors black. Electronics http:// The SHOVEL... http:// Hits everything before the wheels can... http:// http:// Just used a hack saw and dremel to clean in up. http:// http:// Added a skid plate beings as this is a race truck. http:// 22 gauge steel and when I cut out body I left a lip, didnt have plan for a bumper. http:// Still has good angles http:// |
