| Rear shock mount ideas?
I am extending the wheelbase of my CC01 to a proline cherokee body, I have the wheelbase where I want it but I can't come up with any good ideas for the upper rear shock mounts. The shocks sit about 3/8-1/2 inch off the rear of the chassis. Anyone who has done this mod please chime in, and pics would be awesome if you have any!

Super simple, I just did the same build. Use Dingo length metal links, unscrew the back ball end off, put the bottom of your shock in between and screw ball link back on, you end up with the shocks mounted in front of the axle instead of behind this way. Back of the chassis is very easy to lengthen. Make some longer plates and bolt them to the sides: Or some horizontal ones and run angled shocks Or mount them inline on the custom lower links. Works well. May need to bend the lowers a bit to avoid binding. I heated up the stockers and bent them, or Axial angled links work too. Not a CC per-se, but you get the gist: |
