Default CC01 Hilux

Hi guys

I have had this body for a while and on a few different chassis' but decided this will stay on my Tamiya CC01 chassis. Had loads of problems with gears but that was sorted out with a new tub. I have done quit a few hopups.

Its still a work in progress. But this is how far I am. Next is to finish the paint job and do the mounting of the body.

I have filled all the mounting holes of the body as I wont be using them, the idea is to have a hinge at the back and magnets in the front with a chassis mounted bumper so as not to damage the body when pushing against something.

Electrics:
Hextronik 10kg servo
Hobbywing Justock esc
Yokomo 1000kv 30.5T motor

The esc and motor works beautifully together and can even run on 3S Lipo, which gives me more power and allot more speed if needed. Also the 2200mah 3S Lipo fits easily in front which is better for crawling.

This was the previous paint job:

This is a mock up of the truck with RC4WD 1.55" Baja Claws, I am busy using Mini rims to create my own beadlock:

Hey Wagner, good to see you posting a build thread. Looking forward to this build. What color you decided on?

Thanks guys!

Yeah, too little interest on our local sites so trying this one

I decided on a mono tone, but with a few stripes down the side. Haven't decided on color as yet.
Want something that has a unique ring to it.

So I got a can of TS-66 Tamiya paint. I am going with a grey, haven't seen many almost none grey Hilux's online and I wanted something unique!
I will also add a bright red stripe or sticker to the side just to break the monotone color.

2 layers of primer is on and sanded with some graded down 1000 grid paper. So today I will do the first layer of grey.
