Did some more trouble shooting last night. I know now that it is definitely not that battery. In the 1st 3 minutes of running it on a fully charged battery it seemed to had lost power and would not climb anything. The motor was really hot right away. I put it on flat ground and drove it around for a few minutes and then back to the rocks. All the sudden it worked perfectly, crawled just fine and the motor quickly cooled back down. I ran it for another 1/2 hour with no issues after that. Makes me think that the motor is bad????? What do you guys think?

I guess you could get a cheap 35t intergy lathe motor and try it out. As far as my problem it is not the battery I hooked a amp meter up to it and ran it when it would bind there was not a spike in amps (the truck was not demanding current). Pluse I have tried many differnt lipos from 2 - 3 cell same problem accross the board (one is a 35c hyperion 63 amp capacity).

Hung brush, bad bearings/bushing, loose motor mount causes excessive binding when gear mesh tightens up. Could be many things.

Well, I figured it out. I wound up getting a Trinity 45t motor and that solved the problems, the stock motor was bad in one way or another. Glad I did though, I didn't gain any wheelspeed really but the torque is waaay better! I might try going up to maybe a 23 tooth pinion but with the worms I don't think I will get much more wheelspeed without heating the motor up too much!
