| what upgraded parts should i buy?
i have a losi comp crawler with a ballistic 21.5 motor, mamba max pro esc, 3s 11.1 lipo 1350. I'm wanting to compete and i have been reading the Del Monte thread and was thinking about getting: Rear Hub Carrier Set, Aluminum: CCR [LOSA2032] Front Spindle Set, Aluminum: CCR [LOSA1035] Hub Carrier Set, Aluminum: CCR [LOSA1040] Aluminum "Dig" Shaft, Hard Anodized: CCR [LOSA3180] Aluminum Ctr. Trans Shaft Set, Hard Anodized: CCR [LOSA3164] Non-Slipper Top Shaft Gear, Hard Anodized Alum:CCR [LOSA3172] Steering King Pins, TiNi (4): CCR [LOSA1518] i was just wondering if there was anything in this list that just doesnt help with performance...or is there anything else i could add? just looking for recommendations from people with a little more experience. thanks! |

The rear hub carrier set would be the last on my list. I haven't seen the need to upgrade that part on my truck yet, the stock plastic ones work just fine. The front end, on the other hand, is a very worth upgrade, eliminates some flex and makes the steering even smoother than stock.

Practice...... get to know the rig. A realtively stock LCC is probably better than many drivers are. Pick up some grey and gold springs and some different pistions and shock oils. Then work on tuning the suspension. See what changes have an effect on certain parts of the rig. |

the suspension was one of the first things i adjusted. im running floating # 56 pistons upside down to let the suspension to shoot up fast but drop down slow to help with floating over rocks....im also using 45 weight in front and rear i was using 50 in the front and changed to 45 to see how it runs.....im just waitng on some parts to get crawling again... i know that there are these people that have top everything and just cant drive the damn thing... i just want to get this thing running like a champ while i have the monies.

Ckrc aluminum dig plates...............my plastics were chewed up pretty bad and would skip quite a bit. The new losi aluminum dig shaft also made all the difference in the word........IMO
