XtrmTJ - my pleasure - I promise I wasn't trying to use your thread to pad my post count - I'm a big Motorsports fan and Sundays mean that I can enjoy those sports in their many forms - I enjoy tractor pulls just as much as I enjoy F1/Endurance Racing/Sports Cars/motocross/etc (although, admittedly, NHRA drag racing and Aggie football games are my favorite weekend tv entertainment) So, I drop my boys off at mom's on Sunday afternoon and usually come home to take in all the Motorsports I can - I turn on the tv only to be greeted by the Lucas Oil Pro Pulling League and my thoughts immediately went to your John Deere themed build, your request for names, and my other lame suggestions - and, as you probably know, John Deere is the marque most represented by pullers - so I started typing out the names of the tractors as fast as I could in an attempt to: 1. Try to help you name your rig 2. Show my love for the kind of dudes that strap 10,000 HP to a farming implement to prove their tractor/manhood/farm is greater than their buddy's tractor/manhood/farm (MURICA!!!!) 3. To make an attempt at humor/entertaining my fellow toy car junkies |

OK, ran into a snag, the LCC Battery and Receiver tray (kit) is no longer available from Losi. I'll end up making my own

Don't most folks with high expectations regarding crawling performance usually just ditch the Losi trays on either of the 1/10 crawlers and simply fabricate their own mounts from a thin piece of plastic with cuts in it for Velcro battery straps and zip tie the tray to their upper links at the front of the vehicle? In fact, this mod seems so easy and so common that I can't say that I even know what the stock battery tray that comes with the comp crawler looks like because I've never seen a comp crawler with the factory tray still installed! Here's what it looks like, with a battery in place: ... and I don't use it any more. |

I hate wearing my moderator pants at 8 am but do not post anything that should be in the classifieds in a tech forum. There's more deleted and edited posts in this thread than any other recently. Kinda ridiculous. I put my tray back in place. And posted it recently in my thread. |
