Is there any company's that make upgraded drive shafts for the comp crawler. These plastic ones aren't gonna last long.

You would be suprised. I have been running mine for a year on 3s no issues. But, I'm not trigger happy. __________________________ 1.9 Ibex tuber - The Merica ibex. R.I.P Dave Mirra Cheers Jacob |

Yeah, the driveshafts in mine have been fine for years, and I can't say that about any other truck I have with any other driveshaft. All the gear reduction in the axle makes for a low load on the driveshafts. I mean, no twists, no popping apart, nothing. But, realize they're the same size as all the Axial and Traxxas shafts, so there's options. |

Keep a few of these pins handy. And keep CV's lightly lubricated with WD-40 or similar. You'll never have a problem with the stock shafts. And ive run mine in G6's, TTC's, Trail Runs. Also, I do this regularly with 4 and even 6S power! New Axial Pin 1 5x11mm 6 AX30166 | eBay |

| Re: Losi comp crawler driveshaft ? My lnc shafts didn't work when I stretched the wheelbase out to the comp maximum. T-pin slipped out of the groove. So I went to Stampede shafts and used them for a long time. Finally broke an ear and I replaced those with the Wraith WB8's. They've been failure free, but I did recently get them in a situation where I was messing with additional lift and the driveshaft joints got to an angle they didn't like and they told me about it. Reclocking the rear axle a bit took care of that. I also have a Scorpion. It's 100 times harder on axles than the Losi because of the gearing difference as EeePee noted. There's no need to replace stock Losi driveshafts unless you've made mods which screw them up. |

I've put a Vaterra Ascender non HD driveshaft on my Night Crawler BND a while back, just got two of the trans outputs and mounted up the unused shafts from my K-5 kit (built it with the HD parts in place) and installed it. Haven't had a chance to drive it since I put it in though, but the parts will work.

If you're worried about breaking your centre driveshafts, the ultimate fix is to remove them and keep them in the drawer...they'll never break! MOA rocks! I did that to my lnc a while back and now have a pair of metal driveshafts available for sale if anyone wants them. I'll never put them back on because I find that MOA driving is much more involving than shafty. As well as improving the performance by lowering the CG of course. |
