The homebrew chassis and skid world be a good platform for you to build from.

i have done that, but i need to finish it.
i used the stock scx skid and made a trans adapter from losi to axial.

149 r/c worx team just released a flat skid with no holes in it so you can drill your own for your losi transmission

YES! Thats ALL I build!
Ive been building Losi Worm based scale crawlers since 2009.

IMO, Its the only way to go!

Ive got a bunch of threads on RCC.
Search GiJoe or Mudd'n Militia and you're sure to find some of my rigs.

Yes, I use Sensored Brushless in all my rigs. I have done TONS of R&D for this and have figured out how to get slow speed "creep" as well as very good wheelspeed.

The most versatile setup i've found for a Worm Scaler is this:

Losi HD Worm Gears (add the grease port and PACK those axles full of CowRC Udder Butter or a similar high quality Moly Grease).

Mamba Max Pro ESC
(2 pole) 13.5 Sensored Brushless Motor
Night Crawler Transmission w/ Hot Racing Metal Trans Gears
Castle 10 amp BEC
4S Lipo
Team Losi (hardened) 15T Pinion

Additionally, I carry a small can of WD-40 with me at all times. Before every run, i spray the driveshaft and axle CVD's and bearings. You must remember, due to the axles having such a steep ratio, the driveshafts will be spinning at least 5X faster in a Losi than in a comparable Ring & Pinion crawler.

Hope this helps! Its a Bulletproof plan! I run my scalers in SORRCA Class 1, 2 and 3, G6, TTC and normal trail riding.

It Can Be Done!

Research and development. I run a similar set up in a losi but use dry pft spray so it won't collect so much dirt.

Here is one of 2 mud trucks that I have made using losi and scx-10 chassis married together I know not crawlers! but thought I would show another option that works really good and cheap and easy to do I do move the trans plate to bottom of losi chassis now to just trim edges and drill holes
