Hello and Happy New Year to all ETXRCC club members. The holidays have passed and a new year is upon us. I have kept in touch with many of the core club members and I know that many of us have changed up our RC crawlers since our last competition in November.

ETXRCC Winter Series Comp Schedule:

3. March 3rd, 2012 @ Love's Lookout - Jacksonville, TX


Classes to be run:
2.2 - Pro
2.2 - Sportsman (if enough are present & time permitting)

This is a well maintained city park and it has something for nearly everyone. It's a large park that has mountain bike trails, hiking & walking trails, a large pond for fishing, a small water park for kids, a couple different jungle gyms, baseball fields, tennis courts, etc. It also has a mountain bike "pump track" that is great for driving Axial Wraiths on. I'm sure after the competition we will do some scaling.

Here's the Deal:

This is a State owned & run park. I had to get permission to hold this competition there. If they do not like what were are doing, we can be asked to leave at any time. We have also been given a 5 hour time limit to complete the competition. If for any reason we are asked to leave, we will finish the competition at the Crawler Innovations compound in Tyler.

However, if everything goes good, this could become a new competition location. Car pooling is highly recommended so that we don't fill up the parking lot. I have been working to get permission to get this location opened to us to use as a competition spot for MONTHS. We will all have to work together and be on our best behavior. They have told us to leave this park in the past, just for playing on the rocks. The final decision for permission was given today which is why it took so long to get this comp listed.

The competition will be held in the center island right out front.
These courses are going to be LONG & spread out with lots of break overs.
Be prepared to move quickly.

If you have scalers, you may want to bring them. This place has trails that lead down to the bottom of the mountain. It has restrooms, vending machines, picnic benches, etc.

January's competition location and date has been decided. I received a couple PM's and a few phone calls regarding this season and the schedule. We can discuss February and March dates and locations at the competition this Saturday.

Thank you for the reminder TC I had apparently forgotten to update the RCC thread like I had the TXRCRCA thread. I have updated the February post with the information for this Saturday.

We are having the competition at the spillway for Faulkner Park's pond. A few members have worked to clean this area over the last couple weeks making this comp possible. Rain is expected Friday into Saturday morning possibly.

This is a new competition location. There has never been a competition there before, so no home field advantage for anyone this week.

We had a good competition in February. Many, many thanks to Rico for his hard work to clean the location and make it possible to have a competition there. Thank you to everyone that came out and made the competition possible.

Sweet! I didn't realize this was this weekend! I need to put the FXRs i guess back into the comp truck for the weekend. Still haven't gotten my MMP back from castle.
