I like pin tires like the Boss Claws or Khaos on slick rock.
Sedonas, if they are really worn work pretty good as an all around tire in my opinion.

For me the sedonas had to be mega worn in before they worked well on slick rock. The khaos I liked more than the boss claw but both are pretty much equal and will do better IMO on slick rock. Another good tire you could use is the leopard if the rocks ar clean, they hook up great on slick rock

Where can I find Khios tires at? I want pin tires but am scared I won't be able to get them to mount on 1"slw rims, that's the only thing holding me back

There are a couple people here who put them together but you can do it yourself. They are Truggy tires which need 2.2 sidewalls glued in them. For the price point if you are worried about that, I would get boss claws. I have run both and currently run claws.

you can buy 2 sets of boss claws for what you will pay for a set of khoas but on the boss claws and slw's just get your rings started look between the gap of the ring and wheel and push the bead into the groove then tighten them down. you will know when its in the groove cause the ring will be easy to push down to the wheel its alittle hard to see a visual of what im saying but i had the same issue and it was my mistake thinking there on there and tighten them down but the bead wasnt completely in there. when you get them just mess around with them and you will see what im talking about. they are really not as bad as everyone says imo. i have boss claws and khoas and slick rock is mainly all we have here where i live and the work great.

Sweet if they rant that bad ill take a chance and go for it because I really wanted the boss claws just don't like fighting with tires.

I really have never had a problem with mounting boss claws. Not too bad of a process in my opinion.
