Default Foam help please.

I' m having trouble working out the best1.9 Crawler Innovations foams for my needs.
Firstly I have a scaler with 1.9 pitbull rock beasts on weighted axial beadlocks. Weighs in just over 5 pounds. It will be mainly used for crawling. Do I want 4.25" or 4.5" little novas?
I also have another scaler weighing in at 6 pounds. This one runs 4.19 Rc4wd MTZ's also on weighted axial beadlocks. This will also be used for mostly crawling. Did I want 4.25" little nova's or the double deuce for 4.25-4.19?
Thanks for the help!

I'm no expert but I tinker with foam set ups a lot, lol.

With the weight of your rigs and mostly crawling, I would suggest the 4.5 lil novas for the Pit's and 4.25 for the MTZ's and you'll most like need to do a little trimming for the MTZ's since they are sort of narrow.

You're a little to light for DW in either rig, especially for mostly crawling.

Forgot to mention, use soft outers on both sizes.

I have 4.25 CI LNs with soft outers in my RBs on my Hammers (5lb) and I think they are perfect for crawling.

I second the 4.25's for that weight, allows for particularly good tire flex without going to stiff or too soft. If above 6.5 pounds i use 4.5s with medium outers

Cheers for the advice guys, looks like 4 pairs of little nova foams in 4.25 for me. Any ideas on the best way to trim them to fit in the MTZ's?

If you needed to you could make a subtle star/gear cut on the inner closed cell foams with a band saw if you have access to one. Thats how i got mine where i like them

How are you guys keeping your rigs that light weight? 5lbs? that's crazy. My G6(kit build) is under 7lbs with the front wheels wrapped with lead, SSD-RC steel wheels and front bumper, a homebrew rear steel bumper and a 5000mah 2S lipo.

I just got a set of Pit Bull Rock Beasts and plan on going with Dueces Wild foams. It'll be my first CI foam purchase.
