| Cheap closed cell foam tire mod.
So as I was sipping a Coors in the garage. I realized I had a cheap closed foam in my hand. Made a few cuts. Added some E-6000 glue and... Bam done. The cuts were about a inch wide |

That's a shame. How are you going to keep your beer cold now?

I didn't cut that cozy up. I promptly went to the dollar store and bought 3 cozys. Now I'm working on 3rd beer and ordering a pizza with the cash I just saved.

Ok, when you explain it like that you redeemed yourself. Unfortunately for me, my latest batch of American Pale Ale is still fermenting in the carboy and is currently room temp and not carbonated yet. I looked at it, wept a little (because it's not ready to drink yet), then went to the beer fridge and grabbed a blond ale that my buddy brewed a few weeks ago. |

How did the tries feel after you put everything back together? Was the mod worth it?

I can say the foams feel very similar to Crawler innovations inerfoams. I can't say they are as good as crawler innovations due to you get way you pay for. They make a great product. With that said. The 3 bucks I spent for the cozys seems like a great investment. | |

Here's a good size comparison same tires. The new ones have the cozy foams and pitbull white foams. Old ones with stock foams. |

That's sweet! It took me 2 sets of foams an 3 layers of CI foams to get my tires how I wanted them.. I ended up putting CI single stage foams on the wheel then my 4.5" CI dual foams over them.. boy do they work great tho! The reason for the single stage was the wheels they were on had stuck on weights on them an the closed cells got wet, so they stretched or whatever.. turned out to be great tho.. just not as neat or cheap as ur way! I like it.. next set of tires will be tested this way. Thanks for the time.. |

I'll give the stock PitBulls foams a chance first, especially with the reinforced sidewall tip. But if that doesn't work, I'll try the cozy idea.

That'll never work, use Miller Couzies instead. |
