I would start with curved lexan scissors then finish with the sanding drum.

A small dremel flap wheel works great. Get ready for the dust!

I clocked and shaved my midnight pumpkins on my 2wd puller using that method

So far i have found that the curved scissors worked really well, then finishing up with a fresh razor blade. my dremel just ate itself - so i have to run and grab another one befor ei can try the paddle sanding drums.

Twisted, what are you up too? So the tires you see on the sidewinder truck were cut my a guy here in Colorado. You have a good method there, but a lot of the guys are using dremels to get the cuts done. I admit that I have cut 2 full sets of pulling tires, but once completed, both the garage and I was covered in more rubber than I could believe. Jason, the guy who's truck you posted, can hook you up with cut tires for a pretty good price. If you would like to talk to him, shoot me a PM with your number and I can have him give you a call or I can give you a call. We still have the pulling club going if you want to check out more of the rigs at 5280 Pulling Club.

Hey Nate, Thanks for the referrence for the tires. i cut a whole set but if i get knee deep into pulling i will hit up your guy. I have always liked the pulling scene. i recently picked up a couple of txt axles and am building a custom puller to meet 5280 pulling rules. hope to come out one of these days and try her out.

Sounds good man. I am out to have fun in the pulling world and in the club there are very few secrets. If you need a hand, let us know.
