Default Firmer Foam for 1.9 Tires

Hey guys, I am currently using a set of Rock Crusher XT 1.9's on a LEGO 42030 wheel loader but the stock foam is too soft. I ordered a pair of foams from Crawler Innovations but there is still an air gap and they do not fill the tire. This causes the tire to look flat although not as bad as before.

Unlike with a crawler I need the tires to be firm. The rear of the loader is where most of the weight is located and I'm having a difficult time finding something to use as an insert.

I would order the next size larger then.
this is the next size larger, made for a 4.45" tire

are you sure there is an air gap? or is the rigs weight compressing the foam?

If I squeeze the tire I can feel where the closed cell foam insert is. There is a 1/8 inch gap between the top of the foam and the inside of the tire.

The CI Pit Bull inserts have the right sidewall thickness but the width is a concern. Would a 2.2 foam(like at rc4wd) be an option? The rim cutout seems to be the same size.
