Very happy with mine. They are heavy, be sure you want a weighted wheel.

They work very well, but the name doesn't lie. They are heavy wheels.

I was also thinking of these.

Trying to find a good looking wheel without breaking the budget. Does anyone have any pictures of the above mentioned wheels?

Thanks,
Scott

Those are not great wheels, especially if you run a thick bead tire.

And a 3rd vote for the Boom rims being a bit heavy, but as mentioned they are the "high mass" rims, so that being said it's in the item description. As far as mounting tires on them, I've personally had success with Rock Beast ll and various RC3WD tires (yes RC4WD, for those who don't get it). They do look pretty sweet IMO

I have a set that I paired with OG Flatirons and first ran them on my Komodo and then my wife liked how they looked so they are now on her MST CFX Barbie Jeep and I really like them.

The tires mounted easily and the weight down low improved the performance of both rigs.

Having no experience with boom racing I can't comment on those but I have 4 sets of SSD steel style wheels and they mount up very easily, only minor gripe I have with them is check over all 4950303 scale screws as some of mine were loose and a few were even floating in the package as they had fallen completely out .. but I do love the wheels so that's a minor inconvience and they are 35$ a pair on RPP so price is on point aswell
