Hadn't seen anyone give direct input on the voodoo 4.19s yet. These are the MT versions which fall between the AT and MT-X. Got them back in April and have put quite a bit of hard run time on them. Mostly wet and dry rock. The traction is definitely there with the Red compound and is well supported with the CI single stage foams (keeping those relatively small lugs biting rather than folding). While the foams are becoming more supple with run time I'm curious to see how the tires will respond with a 2 stage foam. Because of that single stage foam, side hill performance is about as good as a low ride height hard body rig will be. Current rig weight is around 7lbs RTR

Crawl up a vertical wall, no but a pretty solid option for someone who values performance over tire longevity. They do break in quick (a plus for some) and depending on where you crawl, will get a pretty good amount of wear in a short amount of time

I know Voodoo strongly recommends their specific 2 stage open cell foams for these tires, but CI is worth considering as well. I run the inner stage only from the 4.5 Lil Nova. For two stage, I hear the 4.0 Lil Novas are ideal. Read somewhere saying the 4.25 Lil Novas were just a little bit too big.

Bottom line I'm quite happy with them and their overall performance. Once I wear these out, I'd like to try the 4.19 MTRs.

Got a set of the new proline predator tsl's at their event out here - they are super soft. Looking forward to running them on my comp rig.

IMO the mtr is the best looking scale tire for class1 - also saw them in action at the event. I have Bravens and traction is fine, I just don't care for dragging on everything from lack of clearance. LOL

Dude! Go for 1.7", the happy medium.

(That's if we are still talking about your tribute truck...keep it scale!)

I would struggle for sure running a 4.19 or smaller tire on a gen 1 SCX10 axle with its large pumpkin, but the smaller 10.2 pumpkin really makes it possible to run sub 4.19s without dragging an anchor around. Not to mention it just flat out looks better too.

yes i am talking about the tribute truck, but i have a plan... you'll see ;) it involves traxxas bronco 1.9's yes i know they are not beadlock *collective groan* so i'm eyeballing what tires to go with. i wouldn't rule out 1.7 but cant find an accurate wheel in that size.
not even sure i can run half these tires as a glue-on? :(

Just remember guys...

Og scx10 had 4.2" flatirons, stock.

2.2" tires were in the 4.85" area for the big ones (2.2 flatirons, and Hammers) IIrc

The Dingo and honcho came with 4.3" ripsaws.

Then proline released the 4.3" Tsl's

Imo the scx10's just look right with 4.19-4.3" tires.

I never did understand why the sorcca decided on 4.19" when 4.2 would have made og Scx10 class ! legal. Maybe that was it????

You can run any tire on a glue on rim...

Have you seen the new proline body, 79' f150?

After reading this I pulled the trigger on some 4.19 MT-X from our own for sale section a few minutes ago.... If anything this will give another small tire option in my growing arsenal.

I agree 1000%...... I have almost depleted all my bigger 1.9's. I am focused on the new 4.19 and bellow offerings.

I'm waiting for the Proline 4.19 TSL and Hyrax to be released in the Predator compound.

The Voodoos are some sweet looking 1.9s.
