| Rc4wd and pitbull rockbeast
So I’m pretty new to Rc crawlers. But my sons birthday is coming up and I picked him up some pitbull rock beast 2’s and rc4wd raceline beadlocks. I’m running some proline foams I had laying around. As I mounted up a set of the same wheels with proline hyrax with ci dual foams everything went fine. I’m losing the bead on the pitbull when I try to tighten them down at all. I feel like the bead is to thick and if I was to shave down the inner ring a little it would give a plc’s for the bead to sit. Any tips or trickster? Would dual stage foams help at all? Any help is appreciated. |

Typically its Pro-Line tires that are hard to mount and RC4WD does make a different inner ring to make it easier to mount tires with thicker beads or you could try to shave them down yourself. As for foams dual stage is somewhat easier to mount as the inner piece is the right width, the stock oversized foams can take up the space the bead needs to go. If I use the single stage oversized foams I cut a little chamfer on the inner portion of the foams (on both sides) so its out of the way when I mount the tire. Wash the tires first. The mold release can cause them to slip out.

Check that your foams aren't too wide at the bead. Some wheels just won't let the beads grab as they're fighting the foam too. Sent from my XT1650 using Tapatalk |

I struggled with the Rock Beasts on RC4WD beadlocks, also. I read that a piece of PVC pipe that is chamfered on the inside diameter instead of the inner RC4WD ring makes it easier. I've never tried it, but did find it was easier to mount them on G-Made beadlocks.

Thanks for the reply’s. I used a little bit of everyone’s suggestion. I sanded down the foams to a skinner width chamfered the inside. Then ground down the inner rings on the wheels to .870 to .880 thousandths. Just in case anyone searches. Thanks again |
