Default Low profile 2.2 tires

Are there any 2.2 low profile tires out there? Looking to make my TRX 4 a street car as well as a crawler.

I don’t think the mall crawler tires have crossed over to the RC scene yet. You can cut the beads off of a set of 1.9 tires to fit a 2.2 wheel though. Or even stretch a set onto the 2.2 for some 808 stylish flair.

Street wheels is what I'm looking for. Sort of like this photo of a defender here.

Use Tamiya scale tires or rally tires on a narrow wheel...

There's also RC4WD Dune T/A 2.2" tires, they are pretty low-profile, here's my set:

DIY half-assed dual-stage foams

Theres some better pics and when it comes to needing foams. Buy the inner ring on a 2.2-2 stage foam itll fit perfect

Search for a set of the HPI 2.2 V-groove truck tires or Proline Road/Speed Hawgs in 2.2. They have both been long discontinued but it is probably what you are looking for.

probably not what you want to here but most any short course wheel and tire will work and there are a lot of street tires for them

also Duratrax makes some street tread crawler truck tires, and you can get them already mounted for a cheep price

There's a bunch of 2.2 buggy and stadium truck tire options out there. There's also some 2.2 tires for the 1/16 scale E-Revo, Summit, etc.

Where did you get the wheels? I'd love a set of those for my Yeti, but I can't seem to find them anywhere.

RC4WD makes those rims. They're discontinued but look like they still still have some left.

Tires might be tricky...maybe stretch some 1.55 or 1.7 tires with a small diameter. Many of the 1.55's in the x3 compound are soft enough to stretch well.

You could also go the 2.2 route...stretch some Dirt Grabbers onto 2.2 rims.
These are nice looking... https://www.ebay.com/itm/4-Pcs-Black...MAAOSwJQdW-ihK

duratrax bandito 2.2 tires are low profile. use a stampede style wheel.

if you want the 8 hole look, rpm stampede wheels. 2 different offsets to choose from.

ive done up a set of banditos on a set of 6 spoke wheels from proline I think. for the scaler to haul toys. eventually..

RPM Revolvers is the name of those wheels. I’ve run a few sets of them over the years.

I ended up getting a TRX-4 Defender a couple days ago, and today I drove it for the first time, just taking it easy before I make some mild modifications - decided to drive it with the Dune T/A 2.2" tires. Here's how it came out - drove just fine in some mild offroad and onroad terrain...

Axial BFG KO2 on 2.2 wheels.

Same tire with about 110mm is available from Proline.
