I will be at the Nationals, I hope it is not a setup for everyone to beat me up for my point of view and lack of respect for my crawlers!

They do have a warranty. And they stand behind them.

Does anyone know if RD Custom's is still around? I have one set of their wheels and they have been great and I want to get another pair.
RCKJeep isn't kidding when he says the hex's on these wheels are tight. I have a set of aluminum hex's in there right now that I'm trying to get out so I can use the new ones that come with the cvd's and they are not budging

I would love a set of those!

I have to put my cvd hexes in a vice to beat them out of my RC4WD rims. Tight fit!

Hells yeah, and it doesn't even matter if it lines up with the hex in the wheel.....it'll still fit with room to spare.

Like throwing a hot dog down a hallway I saw a bunch of Axials fail at this weekend's NOSTR GTG at Nelson Ledges, and they were't even beating 'em that hard.

My second-gen MSD's and RC4WD Rockstars held up just fine. It's a lot easier to modify the RC4WD rims to hold a bead than to make the Axials hold a hex. Or mount up a set of the Ericksons and you won't have to worry about anything.

mine slip out real easy, I do like I did the axials, I super glue the hex in place in the rim. stops alot of failures

I glued the hex's in, but that didnt help with the axial wheels. My uber cheap junfac's are holding up better so far. I am going to try rc4wd BL wheels next, i cheaped out last time and got axials again. In the mean time, i am going to epoxy the hex's into the axial wheels, should solve the hex stripping permantly.

Reading this thread makes me glad I didn't buy the Axials. I was thinking about it but bought the RC4WDs, and like I stated before, have never had a problem with the bead or with spinning hexes. I may not enter any comps but my rig gets used.

My axials have a bunch of tough running and 4 comps. maybe they have changed them some.

you must have used poor CA then, good quality CA will make it impossible to remove and twice as strong as any epoxy

I had that exact poster back in the day! I should still have it folded up somewhere.

I have a set of RD Customs beadlocks, and I absolutely love them. Super clean machine work, great fit and tolerances. My buddies all run RC4WD's, and being a machinist myself, I was not all that impressed with them. The finish was really rough and had lots of chatter marks in the finish. Also, the ones running M2K's can't keep the beads locked, Moab's are fine.
