Default Speedway Motors

Hey Guys,

The cheapest place I've found for brake line is Speedway Motors: Speedway Motors

Great place if you're also building up a hot rod!

That is cheap!
How are you straightening it out?

Nice, I will need some more after I burn through the 24 feet I have coming!

Bikes good, I have to put all the street stuff back on I did a trackday at stockton a while back. Its just chilling in my shed at the moment waiting for the weather to make up its mind.

Hey there,

Sorry for the late reply. I straighten the brake tubing out between two wooden boards. The wood is softer than the tubing, so it doesn't damage it.

I know it's not cheap, but neither is my time. I'd rather pay a bit extra to have something work well the first time. $14.71 for 6 feet so that's about $2.45 per foot.

1010 3/16" tubing
Just ordered 2 6ft pieces. I've got a 6ft piece of 3/16" stainless rod i'll use for the main chassis "frame" and then tube the cage

Nice! I'm not using the stainless rod for strength as much as that it's actually cheaper than tubing.

I am still going to pick up some standard brake line on my way home today just to practice on and hopefully get a feel for my torch before i start heating the more expressive metal
