| Where to get steel tube for brazing?
I've checked with Napa, O'Reilly and a local steel shop.. Anywhere to get them online other than McCaster?

I was lucky and found a loop at Oreilly's that they had left. You might try a GoodYear or an auto shop that does brake work. But the best bet would be McMaster. |

I've been chucking lengths of Poly armour in the drill and using 120 grit to clean them off. I do the same with the plain steel though too to get the galvanized coating off.

My local Napa and O'Reilly only had the coated ones. I want non rolled pieces. Unrolling it is gonna be a pain... There was a website for tube but I can't remember what it was.. |

i keep seeing a lot more reference to hydraulic line/tubing instead of brake line since the auto parts stores are carrying less of the uncoated stuff these days. my guess is a supplier like mcmaster/grainger or similar is the easiest source for the stuff.

Here are some part numbers for a 60" piece of tubing. BK 813-1266 - 3/16" x 60" BK 813-1225 - 1/4" x 60" Warehouses around the US show plenty of each of those part numbers. If y'all need any other, just holler at me. |

I have two local napa's within 20 miles of me and most likely on my route at least once a week near one or the other....i'll just stop in and buy up what they have, then they will need to stock up and get what ever un coated is left shipped to them so I can buy it all again ....
