Handiest thing I've bought in a while. Really wish I had thought of it. So simple and small, yet so useful. No more rubber band around the pliers for me .

I like the heat resistant insert of the other one. The all aluminum construction of this one would act like a heat sink. I have this problem now with the small machinist vise that I use.

I thought this was kinda funny in the description of it

"* Note: Aluminum is a conductive material, never place 2 plugs from the same battery pack in Mr Jig simultaneously or he will get upset."

I was kinda expecting broken engrish and things getting rost in transration

their website says $21.95 and free shipping, and one free set of alligator clips. looks like a good investment. quite possibly the vice holding the deans plugs should keep the plastic from warping in case of too much heat applied to the connector over time

I've been in this hobby since the early 80's, so I've done my share of soldering. My LHS had a few in stock a few months ago so I picked one up. Have to say with as many rc's as I have this is one of the best little investments I've made. Very handy for all kinds of connectors, the insert (looks like delrin to me) works great for keeping the heat in the connector. I figured out a neat trick. If you put your Deans plug in the right way, you can tip the whole jig up on its side and solder the positive terminal without taking it out of the jig. I would recommend it to anyone who solders a lot and has an extra $25 laying around...although I would say buy a good iron first.

Default Awesome!

I own one and they are awesome, great idea. 25 bucks isnt bad for one of these, just consider how much time you save from trying to jerry rig some other crap to make it work the same way. Time is money and RC time.
