| Can I glue a plastic shock bodie together
If I wanted to cut down a shock bodie and shorten it could I use something to gule it back together and have it hold good or if there is something else I could use

Could you? Yes. Crazy Glue, 2 part epoxy, JB Weld, etc. can hold it together. Keep in mind, you have to get it VERY clean if it's had shock oil in it or it will either never hold and/or they will leak. I don't think anyone here would recommend it. Why do you want to shorten?? If you want to limit travel, it's better to use a spacer inside the shock (usually Nitro fuel line cut to length). Another option might be to cut down the cap end & then tap the threads for the cap to go into. PS, I've done the "cut down & glue" before, but many years ago when there was not the selection of shocks that there are today. |

You would have to shorten the shock shaft as well so it doesnt hit the top of the shock cap.
