Once you hook an encoder to the spindle you will be able to do threading and constant surface speed turning. Seem like some fun features to incorporate.

My favorite VFD always was and is this: Delta VFD
The VFD is rated for up to 5HP!

There sure has been a lot of people asking that lately. Can't really talk about it here though without buying a vendor star.

But job shop work is so much more interesting. Especially after getting my first $$$ customer from outside the RC industry. Not sure how tapatalk posts pictures but here is a recent shot of the shop and a cool part I made on my new vacuum chuck.
