Thanks for the info. I'm familiar with vac de-gassing, I did a good amount of it an my old job. The system we had would fit a 5 gallon bucket inside ( as mentioned by calderwood). I made my messes inside of that one before by cutting my volume calculations too close!

I used 2 valves on my mini system. One valve is to allow atmosphere back into the chamber through a filter, the other valve is directly ported to the vac pump. The problem I always saw with the single valve systems was that the atmosphere getting pulled through the pump would also pull the oil out of the pump and contaminate the liquid that was just de-gassed.
