Rob says that Staples/ Office Depot have similar mats to the Hobbico in bigger sizes. Upgrade has rubber pitmats, that is what he also uses.

Global industries manufacturers, sells multiple types of the large sized mats, I have a few at my shop that are 36 x 72 in size, and I believe you can order custom sizes as well. I'll see if I still have a link for their site and post it.

Didn't even think about that. But don't they curl up on the ends?

I looked at them, the only thing I didn't like them about them, it 2 piece mat that uses a metal bracket to keep them together.

They do when you first unroll them from the package but flatten out quickly.

I've been using a yoga mat as a work mat since I built my bench. The GF got one as a gift in the "wrong color" so I bought her a "pretty" one and got me a giant work mat for cheap.
