Nice! I'm sure you'll like those Kongs! You should narrow them Question: What does one need to do for that gear reduction to work in a crawler? |

ok the link helps but I guess what I meant to say was did you have to modify it to work on your emaxx tranny. I have an emaxx tranny too btw. Does the shaft have to be machined down for the pinion to work? Is there any grinding or drilling you have to do? I like this better than the gd-600 I have now, since it goes straight back and you don't have the motor offset like with the gd600. Oh, saw the vid you posted too, nice! Looked you yall had a great time! |

Hereīs a little update: http://www.manuel-aka-mdk.net/gallery/E-Maxx?page=22 Iīve cut the tires to get better flex... ;) @cman Actually there was no modification needed. The Gearbox fits 550 standard motors as the Multiplex Permax 600 is. All you have to do is press the pinion onto the shaft of the motor (the pinion is within the package of the gear reduction), screw the two things together and apply them to the tranny. Thatīs it! GJ on the kongs, that's a very good way to get more flex outta them. Stock, the center tread really limits the flexiness. One more question about the reduction. With the pinion, is it just pressed onto the motor's shaft or is it held on with a setscrew or glue? Thanks for the info so far! |

great truck. nice to see loads of pictures, ur gallery is great. quick question about the rear steering... do ur rear wheels get pulled all over the place? i've basically done the same mod on my emaxx, but i cant get the rear wheels to behave. it seems that the servos aren't strong enough. i was begining to think it was something to do with the geometry all being reversed to the front. |
