Default Is a Castle Bec Necessary for Brushless Summit?

Many of you have helped me with my summit conversion, and I thank you for that. I'm justttt about complete. Here are my upgrades so far:

Tekin RX8 Gen2
Tekin T8 Brushless 2250Kv Motor
Steel Front & Rear Drive Shaft Upgrade
Trenchers with 1/2 offset Desperados
2 X 8000Ma 2s Lipo 50C

It was recommended that I install a Castle Bec to control and set the voltage to 7v. Is this necessary? If I do NOT install the Bec will my servo's fry? According to the directions that come with the BEC the throttle control from the ESC to the Receiver is supposed to be unplugged, which I thought was a bit odd.

also, any suggestions about further upgrades would be great. I was thinking about upgrading the servos, ONLY when necessary, and the axles & A-arms. I know these cars will tend to break IF they are not upgraded properly and driven with care. Any recommendations for A-arms and Axles would be greatly appreciated. Should I snag these servos, or should I swap out when the stock fail?

No you do not need a bec unless you are upgrading to some Mister torque servos. Of you are keeping all stock servos then you will be fine. But later when you upgrade to a super torque single servo THEN you will need a bec to equal out the voltage.

No . If you are keeping all stock servos then you and your Tekin will be fine. But later when you upgrade to that Monster torque single steering servo THEN it is recommended to install a bec to even the power flow. But isn't the Tekin version 2 designed with a stronger higher powered bec already installed ?

You should be OK if you have the BEC set to 7.4v. You'll need the Tekin Hotwire to access this feature.
