Default TRX4 motor esc swap

I've had mine for a few days now and I'm thinking it's about time for a motor esc swap. One reason is I want drag brake. I would also like more power. Anyone done swaps please chime in.

I run a Mamba X + 1900kv Slate motor with the aux wire connected to the high/low selector switch. Low = 100% drag brake, high = bash mode with drag brake disabled.

I put an Mamba X and Holmes Puller Pro 3500Kv in for a buddy of mine.

Your post is pretty vague, I'm not sure what info you're looking. Motor/ESC swap is pretty basic, pick a system, throw it in..

You will want a sensored system if brushless.

Brxl and Trailmaster Sport 550 in one of my rigs. BLE and Puller Pro 540 2200 in the other right now. Third one is stock.

Thanks. I've heard a lot of good things about your products. I just haven't had a chance to try them yet. That might just change!! Thanks again for your response..

The stock ESC has a drag brake, its not the best out there, but it does work pretty well. You need to reprogram the ESC to mode 5.

What do you mean by "more power", are you looking for more speed or more torque?

It doesn't matter what he wants, practically anything crawler specific will give him more of both

Thank you. All I wanted was what other people were using and what they thought of it. I didn't think I was asking a complicated question.

Yeah, it's actually a quite involved question. Budget, intended use, voltage, wheelspeed needs. They all change the recommendation since we have quite a few options for electronics.

i run a MMX/ castle 2280kv 1406 in mine. It works out to be perfect with the 2 speed. I run 3s. The only reason I switched is I smoked the titan in the mud, and I had a spare MMX on hand. My Local Hobby shop was out of PP540 standards, and he gave me a screaming deal on the castle.

For me the better money was spent on a servo. As I wasn't unhappy with the ESC/ motor performance. The servo was extremely lacking for my use.

I pulled the trigger on the combo Mamba X and the Sensored 1406-2280KV motor. I like the programability of the ESC. Just wished I could do it from my Mac... The Drag brake does need some adjusting.
