| Anyone running low KV motors on their TRX?
Just curious if anyone is running really low kv motors on their TRX and would like to share their thoughts. I've driven an 1800kv motor on one and it worked well with plenty of speed in 2nd gear. Was curious if 1200-1400kv is too low or still good. Mind you i'm not concerned with bashing speeds rather just enough for trail speeds and the occasional blip to get up something.

I don't know if it counts but I tested a 1250kv RC906 in my sport on 2s with 16/45 gearing and it was a bit too slow. Maybe 3-4 mph. I am now running a 2400kv RC906 and I think I am going to change to the 1750kv, 2400 is just a bit fast. I am a fan of running at least a 15t pinion as I find anything smaller is too noisy for my liking. Sent from my SM-N910P using Tapatalk |

Shawns303, what ESC are you using to run the RC906?

I run the Mamba Micro X in both my rigs. They are smooth like butter.Sent from my SM-N910P using Tapatalk

CC SW4 w/2216 1250kv outrunner. Slow and smooth. Low heat gen and efficient. CC SW4 w/HH Revolver 1800kv outrunner. Awesome... My favorite so far of all my setups. I've tried the rc906 2400kv and it runs well, not super fast but faster than stock and certainly more efficient. All on 9t pinion. 11t would probably be fine also but I'd not recommend going higher. |

Not brushless motor. But I run a 55 turn in my trx4. Super smooth low rpm creep. With the 2 speed it has plenty of top speed Sent from my SM-G892A using Tapatalk |
