Based on recommendations I went with the HH TrailMaster Sport 550 Brushed Motor (21T). I didn't get the 9T pinion, may add it later. I intentionally kept my horrible solders out of the pic... I am absolutely horrible at soldering. I tested it out and it works!! The only issue was that forward and reverse were mixed up, so I just switched the wires. It stinks that the wires don't match anymore (not shown in this pic) |

We all sucked at soldering once. It’s gets MUCH easier. It only took 30 years and I pretty much have it mastered! Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk | |

Since my last set of beadlocks burned up my motor, I HAD to get a new set of beadlocks and tires.... I went with SSD 8 holes and Proline BF Goodrich Mud Terrain: These allow for PLENTY of clearance, and I love the realistic tire tread pattern. |

Took it out for an obligatory first run with new motor and wheels/tires. It did well, not sure if I noticed much of a difference from the stock motor but that's OK because I was good with the stock motor. And back in it's spot safe and sound (after a couple of rollovers) |

So it appears that I have an unreasonable obsession with making the gold wheels work (the ones that rubbed and burned up my motor) so I bought these (+3mm): Compared to stock: Installed: Clearance up front: Barely enough clearance in back: Then I finally attempted to address the rubbing I've been having on the body. I had to drill new holes to raise the body up front to it wouldn't rub on full turn / articulation (I don't have a pic, but final result): End result: |

If you look closely in the last pic, the sliders are too low and look silly. Also the front and rear bumper are now too low: So for the front, I just flipped the bumper mount: For the rear I flipped the plastic piece with the hitch on it to raise the bumper, but I had to remove the hitch and do a little trimming: End result not perfect but better: Then I addressed the sliders by adding a spacer which happens to be a bolt that fit perfectly: End Result again not perfect but better: |

Took the kiddos out sledding and managed to play. Hard to tell from the pic, but this hill is very steep, not a problem: And the not so good: I luckily found all the parts, just looks like I need some loc-tite on this wheel |

It was a great day here in CT (60 degrees) so took the Bronco for a spin in the snow melt. The Deep Woods tires are pretty good in the mud. Hopefully I'll get to try them out in the snow soon. Ran out of time and put it away pretty dirty |
