It's the NB4-FS.

Word out of FS is that they are going to expand it to 16-18 channels with a firmware update.

You gotta let us know how it works out. I've been keeping an eye on this one.

LOL...I knew it wasn't up to SVT posting standards even before I hit "submit reply"...but...

It's like when you manage to get a first date with a woman who's dripping in sex appeal...of course you're going to introduce her to your friends...even before you'd slept with her. Hell...audience participation is almost as fun as playing with it. Ok maybe not, but it sounded good. lol

It's just a little hand candy right?

I definitely will! I'm going to try and get some wrenching time in this weekend. I need to do a little studying on it and see how to configure it for now...since in it's current form it's only 4 channel.

Truth be told I had kind of slated it for the Gen8 build since my plan is to really try and turn it solely into a crawling rig. Where the Bronco is going to be trail/crawl mix...as of right now.

Agreed! That was one of the outstanding features I liked as well. It's nice not to need double A's for a change!

Let us know how ya like it once you get it figured out, I'd have no use for 16-18 channels lol but still curious on how it would stack up against the good ol hacked Flysky.

Yeah it's a little over kill, BUT if I use it for the Bronco I can think of several "needs"...lol

2 speed trans (1)
Front and rear lockers (2)
cruise (1)
parking lights (1)
headlights (1)
rock light kit (1)
fogs (1)
winch (1)

There's 9.

I didn't know those FlySky radios were available. Very salty for a FlySky, but it looks really nice. You'll definitely have to keep us updated about how it works especially long term.

It's not an RC related terms. It just means expensive.

Ahhh...ok gotcha. lol

I didn't think $200 was bad for what it offers compared to what I was seeing with Spektrum DX3R's, DX4R's, DX5R's and what they're going for used.

Gotcha, I'll save the high fives and inappropriate comments for when the radio turns it's back.

You can cut out a channel for the cruise control because that is just a function of the Traxxas radio and at most you will only use 2 channels for the lights (1 for rock lights, 1 for everything else) because you will end up either turning them all on or leaving them all off out of practicality or using a light controller that automates the functions from a single channel.

Ya know...I really wish the online Hobby Shops wouldn't put a wish list total at the bottom...it makes the task at hand seem so daunting.

I ordered more bling today as I ponder what direction I'm going to go with the Bronco. Ordered some green slime, the metal RC4WD scale antenna, the RC4WD 4-channel light controller, and the mental front FORD logo.

I keep putting off the Samix parts order...although I can see that purchase coming down the tracks at me like a run away freight train.

I'm gonna have to go break something this weekend to justify it!

Ok so...it was a long wet weekend and my son decided to blow up his twin Titan 775 motors instead of going crawling...lol...so I did a few small upgrades.

Cue the Ac/Dc Back in Black music!

The red decals were like a lot of women at my age...better lookin from 10 yards away! Up close not so much...they looked like stickers. So off they came! Diggin the black look, but a painted body is in my future because I do miss that classic Bronco paint scheme.

While I was at it I painfully installed the stainless steel hood intakes. I do not recommend these...and I’m unsure of how I feel about them looks wise. Thoughts? I’m trying to do some more scale things.

Mechanically I added the Yeah Racing brass diff covers...I like the rounded edges over some of the competitors in the market...but I do wish Samix made one in the blacked out brass.

For those wondering...yes the red rear sticker is coming off once the stainless steel FORD insert arrives.

The scale antenna arrived, but no mounting hardware so...time for some R&D and fabrication.

There is treatment you can get that will age the brass to black, I don't know what its called and I'm sorry I don't know exactly where I seen it, it was either in someone's build thread or the what did you do to you Trx today thread. It just brushes on and turns it black.

Kincer I remember seeing in a video that in scale comps you had to have brass covered up...do you know of that was for wheel assemblies only? It would seem to me diff covers could be colors since they are often in 1:1 rigs but not sure?

Have no idea about that, quit doing comps four years ago, maybe someone will chime in on that, seems to be a weird rule though.
