Default Battery help

I am new to crawling and bought a trx4. I installed a castle 1406-2850kv motor with a Mamba X Sensored 25.2V WP ESC 8A Peak Bec Data Logging Combo I am looking for battery suggestions. I probably don’t run this rig no more then 20-30 min at a pop.

To be honest I know nothing about this. I’ve always been the person like most you want the biggest and baddest. You want the most power you can get. With that being said I can run 4S. But I would like to run a smaller sized battery so I’m not killing it in weight but still can get the most out of it.. Thanks for the link I’ll read that as well.

The TRX4 is a low speed crawler and less a high speed basher. With that in mind the preferred batteries are LiPo in 2S and/or 3S. Most competition drivers run a smaller mAh battery in the 2500 mAh range to reduce weight and shorter run times. I prefer longer run times because I trail mostly and weight is not really an issue for me. For longer run times a 5000+ mAh will give you as much as three hours of runtime depending on how fast you drive. In a crawler the "C" rating is not critical because there is typically such a low power demand. There are several respected good battery brand names, ones that I use are Gens Ace and SMC. But I urge you to read some of the threads listed in the link I provided earlier. There is a great deal of good information on all aspects of this hobby on this site but you will need to spend time reading and researching what will work best for you.

Thank you for taking the time to reply to me. This is what I’m running now. I wish it would have been the shorter version so I could use the low mount.
