So one of my diff servos failed so I changed both for jx pdi 1151mg servos, plenty of torque and waterproof fitted then and was all fine, put rx lid on and both died can't believe it, tried other electrics in the slots and they worked so it's just the TWO servos. Most bizarre was running 7. 4v 2s. What's everyone else using?

If you were running the servos at 7.4V you fried them. That servo states in the specs it is capable of running 4.8V to 6.0V. You need to set your BEC to 6.0V for those servos. Description: Brand: JX Product: PDI-1151MG Digital Servo Voltage: 4.8-6.0V Dead Band: 2μs Frequency: 1520us/330hz Pulse Width: 1000-2000μs=90° Pulse Width: 500-2500μs=180° Motor: Coreless Motor Operating Speed(4.8V): 0.12sec/60° Operating Speed(6.0V): 0.10sec/60° Stall Torque(4.8V): 3.2kg.cm Stall Torque(6.0V): 3.6kg.cm Bearing: 2BB Connector Wire Length: JR 265 mm Working Temp: -20℃~+60℃ Weight: 15g Dimensions:23.2 x 12.5x 25.6mm |

Power HD is offering a replacement: the "Power HD PHD TR4" Specs say 4.8V to 7.4V. I have a set of them in the parts bin for a future project (or should I say: started project which is on hold because of other newly started projects ...) |

The TRX4 electronics all run at 6v, if you run the ESC at 7.4v output you will burn out the electronics. You do not need high torque shift servos, these things only have to move a simple linkage either in the axles or the transmission. The stock servos work just fine if you don't feed them too much voltage.
