Nice!

I’d like to hear how much better it crawls and how you like it!

Let us know!

Waiting on different body mounts to arrive before I test. Plus it’s only 4 degrees outside so I’ll have to wait till next Saturday to test at my local indoor course.

I was just checking this out and wishing there was a build tread about it, really excited to see how this turns out!

I recently built a Scattergun TRX4. the chassis allows for more susp movement. I did servo on axle in front and the Scattergun chassis allows for more upward travel in the front. I went with longer shocks on the back and again far more room for upward travel.

I went with the bowhouse skid and it fit nicely. I did have to cut a bit of the chassis to fit my transmission servo.

I had to cut part of the chassis to fit my 2 speed servo, and trimmed up the stock skid plate. Also had to trim the aluminum Integry motor mount. Overall I’m happy with the outcome. Not as much flex as I expected but it’s definitely no less then stock. Also remounted my electronics and moved my battery upfront.

If you want more room for susp movement up front ditch the panhard bar, go 4 link and do a servo on axle. Even if you keep the panhard bar once you figure out which hole you want to mount to you can probably cut off half the scatter gun panhard mount off or better yet get a TGH panhard mount. The scatter gun mount is just TOO BIG and in the way the set it up it is in the way. They rave about how strong and it is strong it is but it is a bad design.

It’s done, for now at least till spring when I get a new body. Figured out the body mounts. Reworked the wiring for the lights. Raised the front bumper about a 1/2 inch. Lowered the body as much as possible. Raised the sliders & trimmed the body to fit. Now just need to fine tune the shocks. Here’s how it sits.
