| Xtra Speed Alloy Axles
Hi folks. Thought this maybe useful info for others who try these. Everything appeared to go together fine. The outer pinion bearing was a very tight fit mind. I was using the stock diff covers. Now the locking/unlocking of the the diffs was a absolute mare! I could not get them to unlock at all. They were very stiff and notchy when manually pushing the cable. As a last ditch attempt before I considered using the stock plastic axles again I tried a set of cheap alloy Chinese ARB cover I have dismissed a long time ago. These work perfectly! They do look less low profile than stock and I can only guess allow for more freedom for the arm to move the diff lock collar.... I did not weigh the difference but they certainly add a good amount of weight low and stop axle flex. Anyhoo...this may save someone the many lost hours I spent. I've actually thought about getting just the front for my trx4 sport. Mine needs some weight up front. Sent from my LM-G710VM using Tapatalk |
